ImmunoCAP ISAC
The use of microchips is a high-tech tool for the simultaneous detection of a large number (profile) of specific IgE antibodies of each patient. It combines biochip technology which is a cutting-edge for molecular allergology. The biochip is a miniature immunoassay platform where allergens are immobilised in arrays. The detection of 112 allergens is achieved with only 30 microlitres of serum (100 microlitres of whole blood = 3 drops).
Why should I do ImmunoCAP ISAC?
– Provides answers by describing the profile of highly sensitised patients
– Reveals the potential risk of severe allergic reactions from food
– Identifies IgE antibody profile in patients with an unsatisfactory response to treatment
– Positive microarray results, although they may not be clinically correlated in the present, may predict the patient’s future progression
